Salman Khan’s Bodyguard is hitting the big-screens on 31st August world-wide and the film is going to be released in AP in more than 120 screens which is the new record. In Hyderabad alone, Bodyguard is releasing in 55 screens. Being a festive season (Ramzan & Vinayaka Chaviti) with long weekend and Salman Khan in form with back to back hits like Dabangg and Ready made the distributors release Bodyguard aggressively.
However, all this is putting Venkatesh under pressure. It is known that Venky is acting in the Telugu version of the Bodyguard, which is the remake of Malayalam Super hit film. While the Telugu version is hitting the screens in October, the Hindi version is releasing early, which might loose few sections of audiences that in turn affect the collections.
On the other hand Venkatesh hopes that he has loyal audiences in Telugu and that, Hindi films can’t affect any Telugu movies. Well, let’s wait to see…
